Hi Mark, I had such a good time with you on our trip. Thanks so much for all your thoughtful planning.

Speaking of, my family is thinking of a trip to the Western Cape in mid March, when Jack has a school holiday. We would fly to George, rent a car, maybe stay in one place and take trips from there. With two young children we aren't thinking of a lot of driving.

Ideal would be a self-catering inn with restaurant option and room for three adults and two kids (with pool!). I think from 3 star to 41/2 star place.

Day 6: Oudtshoorn

We set off on a scenic half day tour of the surrounding countryside on our way to Meiringspoort, where we’ll enjoy a short walk to a tranquil waterfall and natural rock pool, set in the mountain side.

Geologists regard the Meiringspoort mountains as one of the finest examples of sandstone rock folding in the world.

Once back in Oudtshoorn, we visit a working ostrich farm. Here we will learn about the industry, and interact with ostriches.

Included: Breakfast, Meiringspoort tour, ostrich farm tour.

Day 7: Knysna

We depart towards the coast, via the scenic Outeniqua Pass to the quaint coastal town of Knysna. Enjoy free time exploring, and in the evening we embark on a sunset boat ride on the beautiful lagoon.

Your hotel is located alongside the Knysna Waterfront complex.

Accommodation: Knysna Log Inn or similar

Day 8 - 9:Port Elizabeth

On route we enter the Tsitsikamma National Park, Enjoy a short walk through indigenous coastal forest, or simply relax on a sheltered beach and enjoy the wonderful views. An option (time permitting), is to visit Monkeyland or birds of Eden outside Plettenberg bay.

Port Elizabeth has beautiful beaches, and your hotel is located on the beachfront, alongside the Boardwalk entertainment complex. Enjoy a day at leisure, or join us on a city and local township tour.
